RedZone is not working!

I called Verizon and 5 times got disconnected due to heavy call volume.  At least that is what I assume.

I activated the redzone and now it is saying my order cannot be completed.  I have had it for 2 years and never had this issue.  The one time I did get through to VZ the recording said my order could not be completed because the appointment was not scheduled!  THERE IS NO APPOINTMENT!  I am activating the same RedZone that is part of my package.

Any help?

I have the Ultimate package - when I tune to ch 835   NFL Redzone it is asking me to subscribe instead of seeing the splash screen that you usually see before the season starts has this been removed from the ultimate package? 

I am in vho 8  Delaware

LOL...who knows.  Verizon is a joke!

I called to cancel my Redzone service because the cost is too high/  $55....up from $50 last year.

When I called, the woman told me that if I upgrade to Ultimate HD (which includes Redzone) and change my voice service to digital then my monthly cost will only increase by $5.   That would have been totally worth it because I would have gottten redzone plus showtime and other HD channels that I didn't already have....for a comparable price.

 This was total **bleep**, though, because when I got my confirmation email the price had gone up by $15 per month!!!!   I called to cancel it asap.

I have ultimate as well and just looked at the channel.  I see a thing where you hit okay to order it and if I do, it says I can't order it through the remote because a package change would be required.

I'm assuming/hoping this will be fixed before the NFL season starts?  RedZone is the only thing that makes NFL football watchable.  (I'm much more of a college guy.)

I just looked at the packages and RedZone is no longer listed under Ultimate TV.

Really? I checked their site and I still see that it is available in the Ultimate package. Hopefully, the channel works when we gets closer to the season starting.

This temporary ad we're seeing may just have been put in place of the regular splash screen while Verizon was carrying the Olympics channels. This was the perfect channel to take down to use the QAM space for a temporary channel. Now that the channels are being taken down, I would expect the regular Red Zone screen to reappear in the next couple weeks for those of us who subscribe to Ultimate HD.

Any comment on this?  I'd like to hear from someone who works for Verizon that this is going to be fixed/working by the time the NFL season starts.

No one from Verizon is ever going to comment on this board about programming issues. The good news is that there is a carriage agreement in place for Verizon to carry Red Zone on certain tiers and at certain prices. There is no way they will violate this by not getting the channel up and running in time for the start of the season. I'm not sure what they are waiting for right now, but I feel very confident that it will get done.

I just checked my Redzone channel. It wasn't working previously for me, but I hit OK, it told me that I get Redzone under the Ultimate package, and I had to hit OK again to activate the channel. A couple of minutes later, the channel was working and now I have the normal splash page.

I received an E-Mail tonight, stating that you can subscribe to it by remote, after August 23. Ultimate subscribers still get it for free.

My problem: I have no set-top boxes. I use a CableCARD-based device. Therefore, I have no prompts to follow. Hopefully, VZ can just add it for me over the phone, when their call center is open again.

I too have a cable card only setup.  Thus no prompts to "activate" the channel.  I just called VZ and they said since I had the channel last year once September 9th rolls over I should see the content.  I as skeptical as other people who activated the channel can at least see the splash screen.  I have a feeling I'll need to call back in September. 

Let me know if any of you other cable card users find a solution.  The only other thing I could think of is if VZ would send me a STB and let me activate the channel, and return it and  just credit me for the box?

It's been over a week, and I'm still staring at a "Subscription Required" message on my Media Center PC. I've made several calls during the week, talking to several different levels of support. Still, nobody seems to know what to do to add this channel back to my lineup.

If I call to order HBO, or change my programming packages, they can activate/deactivate those channels from the office. What the *#$! makes this channel so different, and so difficult??

I'm ready to schedule a truck roll to order a box, activate the channel, and hand the box back to the tech. Is that what it's going to take?!

If you don't have a Verizon box its hard, but not impossible, to get them to enable NFL redzone.  If you do have a box its easy.

Best of luck getting someone at 1-800-Verizon to understand your problem.

Well FiOS dropped the ball in regard to NFL Red Zone.  I have the Ultimate Package and activated the channel via my STB but it has not been processed and the first games are already underway.  No one answers the phones and the online chat option is down as well.  Very disappointing.  I should go back to COX Cable.

Verizon FIOS is an absolute disappointment. I have the Ultimate HD package and RedZone is not working. When I click 'OK' it tells me that they can't process my request at this time. Online chat =  down, 7 calls into Verizon were disconnected, 8th call I pretended like I was an interested new customer and I STILL got the records "There is no answer. This call will now be disconnected." I thought Time Warner was bad, but this is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Epic fail, Verizon.

It's okay.  When you finally get a hold of someone, probably tomorrow, they'll offer you an upgraded package for half the price or HBO for only an extra $10 a month.

Same here. Can't subscribe on channel.  Tells me to call and get dropped or busy signal when I connect to adding products.  Horrible customer service for a premium service during the start of football season.  Hard to believe Verizon is not monitoring their own chats.

NFL Redzone is not working in Rye, New York.   Have Ultimate HD and never a problem with redzone before.   I've tried the website and doing a reset, but nothing working so far.   Spoke with someone at Verizon yesterday and they said I was listed as a redzone subscriber, but today one of the automated voices said I didn't subscribe to 835 when I called.    They need a reset on this quickly or I will drop Verizon.   How could they not know about this on opening weekend?  Not an outage issue - that's a lie because the channel has shown the same wrong message for a long time - at some point they must have dropped subscribers and never added us back.  Speaking with someone live not going to happen if people are out all over.
