RedZone is not working!

I called Verizon and 5 times got disconnected due to heavy call volume.  At least that is what I assume.

I activated the redzone and now it is saying my order cannot be completed.  I have had it for 2 years and never had this issue.  The one time I did get through to VZ the recording said my order could not be completed because the appointment was not scheduled!  THERE IS NO APPOINTMENT!  I am activating the same RedZone that is part of my package.

Any help?

Due to the overwhelming demand for the NFL Red Zone, order activations could take up to ninety minutes to process. Please be assured that requests are processing and that you do not have to call Verizon to activate Red Zone. We are working diligently to activate every subscription as quickly as possible. No disrespect Eric but I have been trying to activate it for days now and just assumed that it would be activated this morning.  That is an unacceptable response on behalf of Verizon.

Order Activation??

I have been a verizon subscriber for over two years with the ultimate HD package, of which the redzone was a part of that package.  Why do I have to activate??  It would have been nice if we had been contacted.

The NFL season didn't just spring upon Verizon did it?

One would expect that with the NFL seasons start and in some markets only one or maybe two games on the early schedule that customers would be wanting to view Red Zone.

I do not believe this SNAFU is your personal responsibility Eric, but what can you tell us that is encouraging and will mollify the frustrated and deprived customers?

I, myself, am an Ultimate Fios subscriber who believed NFL Redzone was part of the package, and was a part of the decision to pay for the Ultimate package instead of one of the more inexpensive packages. I activated it several weeks ago. Yet today I can not use this service I am paying for.

Not the end of the world, but still upsetting since I expected it to work. What can you tell us to mitigate this, and mollify our frustration?

That is b.s. ordered red zone in January with ultimate. Should already be activated! Whats this about 90 mins? 90 mins from WHEN?

I am LIVID.  I have the ultimate package and Redzone is not working.  I've tried to call customer service.  No luck.  The call just keeps hanging up on me no matter if I use one of two cell phones or my house phone.  This is unacceptable.  This is ridiculous.  I pay an extraordinary amount of money every month just to have Redzone.  I hope you spontaneously combust verizon.

They left me on hold for over an hour and then picked up the phone and just hung up.  Contract or no, I am done with Verizon.

NFL #Redzone on #FiOS is so popular it could take up to 90 mins to process, but it is processing. There's no need to call to activate.

Not working in Plano, TX.  I have had this for several years and spend $270 a month.  RedZone has always been included in my service and today IT IS NOT WORKING.  I have already scheduled my Dishnet install for next week as Verizon is not taking phone calls, or chat about this.  I just get hung up on.

In Tampa, FL.  Same issue. Was on hold with tech support for 55  minutes, just to be hung up on.  Was hung up on multiple times after that, the online chat said there were connectivity issues with the server, many of the pages on verizon.com said "bad request". I will cut my nose off to spite my face and switch to Direct if there is not any kind of compensation or apology for losing an hour and a half of my Sunday trying to contact them in vain and to still have no service. I have multiple channels that have gradually gone out with message implying I am not subscribed but now they messed with Sunday Football!!! Ridiculous!!!!

This is absolutely ridiculous. First Sunday of season and no Red Zone???? Making me wish we had never switched. Have not liked it as well as NFL TIcket in prior years, now all our introductory credits are off our account are gone so probably time to head back over to DirectTV until their promos also run out. WHat I cant stand is getting caught up in their hold system or worse yet this continuous spin in their web site where you have to keep signing on and then it asks you to sign on. Between that and the Frozen NFL man on the Red Zone channel and too much coffee and rainy weather Im about to get my shotgun and shoot the computer and the TV!!! Cats and dogs btr not get in my way either.

Is anyone else as frustrated as I am with Verizon and their **bleep**-off attitude?

{word filter avoidance}VERIZON!  IT IS A JOKE AND I WILL BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER TOMORROW! 

I will be just a deal whore and go back and forth and get the best deal for 1 - 2 year deal from each and switch back and forth!

It is all ridiculous!

There is no excuse for this mess of not having the NFL RED Zone Today.  I too have attempted several times by phone call and live chat on the site to get this fixed.  Nothing has worked.  I never did get to any live agent at all.  The phone call was constantly disconnected.  I pay way too much for this service and to be treated like I am nothing and my service is unimportant, infuriates me.  I am as livid as all of you are.  I have the Ultimate HD package and nada, nothing is working on the Red Zone Channel.

Please, all of you, contact the FCC in regards to any and all complaints you have about this.  I plan to.  Verizon is already being montiored for their poor customer service and they could be fined again for it.  Then send your complaints also to the President and CEO of Verizon.  Go above and beyond the customer service rep to file complaints as they cannot do a thing about it  and are just trying to keep a job.  They may help in getting some sort of refund for the day, but I would not count on that either.
