I want to move my bedroom TV (and set top box) to another room in the house. What equipment is available to avoid having to hire an electrician to fish cables thought floors and walls? Is there a wireless device that can communicate with the settop box? The paucity of discussions on this idea worries me.

You will need a coax cable to the box. I have been around a while and have not heard of any other way. The coax carries the TV and Internet signal. No power line or wireless devices that I know of will handle the amount of FiOS video and data.
