My husband and I each have our own favorites lists. Within the past week or two, new channels have been popping up on my list when I didn't add them. I go in and remove them and my list is fine until the next day or an hour or two (changes randomly) and then they are back and sometimes even new ones appear. The big problem is that the porn channels with their descriptions are showing up. This is a bigger problem when I have to go through my list with my kids present. What is going on and how do I delete them for good? Help please!
My TV favorites, especially Favorites 2, are all messed up. Channels have been added to Favorites 2, and when I try to remove them, they come back. Also, when I add a channel, it might disappear later.
I found another post with the same problem that I am having, but when I tried to reply, I got an error. The Verizon web site doesn't work any better than my FiOS favorites.
I'm having the same issue. If I put any channels in Favorites 2, it creates an entire list of its' own. Delete any and they all come back. I've read that in 2008, the solution was to have Verizon re-initialize the STB back to new. You lose all your settings and have to start over.
What model stub do you have?
You can reinitialize yourself through menu.
And if you have more than one stb with the same settings, you can import from that one.
Does it happen on more than 1 stb?
My favorites have been messed up for years.
I have been unable to program in Favorites for almost a year. Once I enter them, within an hour or two, they are gone and every single darn channel is on the lists. Absolutely ridiculous.
Looks like they might have done something late last week. All my issues with Favorites 1 have vanished. Stations that I couldn't add can be added now. Stations that aren't favorites don't show up in the guide. No issues at all for 2 days. Haven't tried Favorites 2 yet, but I'm hopeful that this worry is over.
I'm not so convinced. The stations I have been complaining about (mostly spanish language stations) are gone, but I did nothing. I am thinking they were promoting the stations and that promotion is now over. I'll wait to see if anything pops up on it's own before I'm convinced.
Looks like Favorites 2 on my SD boxes still has trouble.
I can't delete channels on Favorite Channels / Favorites 2. First, there are now channels apearing in Favorites 2 that I never added. I tried to delete them from the Favorites 2 list by 'removing the heart from a channel (e.g., 104 VZ15), but the channel still remains in the Favorites 2 list. I tried Remove All, but when I added one channel (e.g. 230 TCM), 104 VZ15 appears in Favorites 2 list again. Why are channels appearing in my Favorites 2 list when I didn't added them? And why are they not deleted when I delete them from Favorites 2?
My Favorites on FIOS are now invaded by other channels like Religious, Sports programs etc. I clear them out and still more return. What's causing this and how do I get 'My Favorites " to be just that????
We are having the same problem. I clear out the channels and when I go back, they are back again INCLUDING the porn channels. For us, Favorites 1 does not have this issue, it is only Favorites 2. Anybody have any thoughts???
I have the same problem. During NCAA time, I try to set the 4 NCAA stations as favorites 2. I set them, and then all sorts of random channels pop into the list. I delete them, they return. It's not possible to set the favorites.
Removed Channels Keep Reappearing on Favorites List
- Favorites List changes randomly: channels are added and some removed.
- It is worse on Fav List 2.
- Channel numbers that are NOT on my "plan" are added also, porn included.
- Tried to fix using "Menu, Settings"; "options, add/remove"; downloading "settings" from the cloud and rebooting the STB thru the website.
Do you have correct channel information now?
- I'd refer a friend, but I would have to tell them know what does not work!
- If my kids view porn using these list I will be upset!
After checking these forums, I see the problem has been around for 8 years with out any solutions! Not very encouraging.

My favorite feature, if it only worked. Clearly a sign of low cost software development paying no attention to quality and testing. Also a sign that they take their customers for granted and have no concern for user experience. If only there was real competition. Perhaps this is why the kids ignore TV and watch everything on their phones or tablets?
Anyone have a solution for this? I was replacing our TV, and this necessitated unplugging the power from the STB. When we turned everything back on, it had downloaded new software and was asking me for my preferences for screen size. It then got stuck on that, so I pulled the plug and restarted.
Everything seems to work, but Favorites 2 is hosed now. Stuff not adding, random stuff being added, remove-all not working etc. To make it worse, we used Favorites 2 for the KIDS' CHANNELS. Now it's filled with all sorts of inappropriate channels I dont' want them to see!
This happens on my "old" HD set top box, but fortunately not on the "new" one. No solution. I was hoping to find one here....
The channels I have set in my Favorites 2 remote keep getting changed. Channels keep being added and/or removed automatically.
The first few times I noticed this, I wrote it off to "programming changes" or "lineup changes". I would go into the list and remove the channel.
But lately, more and more channels are appering, and I know that I have not selected them.
What gives?
