I know that down south SEC Network is offered; however, considering you offer the Big 10 network and the Longhorn network nationwide I don't see how a network for such a huge fanbase isn't offered. Especially for the Ultimate Package. Can we please get more sports channels, especially in HD?

Just saw a hilarious commercial for Verizon Fios. It said that customers were at the center of everything they do. I guess I won't disagree, but they sure must hate us to be so mean.

Google Fierce Cable, SEC Network. It won't let me cut and paste it for some reason. It will be on WatchESPN.

If I'm located out of market, will WatchESPN be in HD if they only offer it in SD out of market?

Based on my conversation with a Verizon Sales Agent last Friday evening, Other than Florida & Texas who will get the SEC network in HD & SD, the rest of us will only get it in SD effective 8/28. This person read me the notice she had received that day by the FIOS Programming Dept.

Will it be available on WatchESPN if it's only available in SD for me?

I don't get ESPNNEWS in HD, but it's on HD for WatchESPN. I don't know, but could only assume, that the same will apply to the SEC Network.

According to the chat agent I spoke to today, it's going to be available in both SD and HD. When I asked if it was going to be restricted to just SD in my area (MOCO, MD), they said they had no information that I wouldn't be getting it in HD. So I then asked bluntly if I could expect to get it in HD and they said yes.
I'm actually on my way down to Knoxville on Thursday to see the Vols play this weekend, so I'll miss seeing whether this is actually the case. If it's not up when I get back, if I just have SD access, I'll be calling Directv on Tuesday.

Oooooooooook, we are now 4 days from the first game of the season on the SEC Network and Verizon supposedly has a deal with them. Today would be a decent day for an announcement so those of us who haven't yet ditched know what programming level we'll need.

Everything that is coming out is saying that the SEC Network will be on at least SD for everyone. There is conflicting news regarding it being available in HD to everyone or just TX and FL.

That is correct. I was just told it is going to be available but only in SD outside of Texas and Florida. That's the same as not getting it to me as I live in PA. I just confirmed my new service with comcast. Hate to do it, but no way in hell am I watching college football in SD.

I hear ya USCarolina. I waiting to see how its broadcast on the WatchESPN app. Since I have an ATV connected to the TV, if its in HD, I don't care how its broadcast via FiOS. I just need to make sure I'm in the right package to ensure I get it. My rate is too good to leave. But that rate wouldn't stop me if it wasn't offered at all.
I'm looking forward to my Vols posting another win against Spurrier again.
