I know that down south SEC Network is offered; however, considering you offer the Big 10 network and the Longhorn network nationwide I don't see how a network for such a huge fanbase isn't offered. Especially for the Ultimate Package. Can we please get more sports channels, especially in HD?

Watching SEC nation on Verizon's FiOS. In all of it stretched SD non-glory. Western New York.
Looks like crap at 80 inches. Not good. Not good at all.
But Al Jazeera HD looks terrific !! What utter crap. I can see Bangladeshi cricket in HD. OMG Really ??? **bleep** No SEC.
Until I get Time Warner out here, I'll probably the watch ESPN app via HDMI into my A/V receiver. That might look better.
I have no data, but I'm guessing Verizon received a small price concession by not using the HD feed outside of the SEC footprint. I don't think with their fiber network it is a technical thing. Also would imagine that's why they waited till last minute... Some procurement person for programming, trying to pressure Disney.
That's all speculation but it makes sense otherwise. It's clear they do not understand the SEC football fan.
In my experience, when a big company does something stupid...It usually relate to money. And some marketing person score card for negotiating a good deal with Disney.
Well they won't be getting anymore of my money unless they fix this before I get switched over.
Being outside SEC footprint, I would even pay a small reasonable charge for the HD feed.

Do not believe that VERIZON does this with any other channel. feed a certain part of the country HIGH DEFINITION , and send the LOW QUALITY STANDARD DEFINITION channel to the rest of the country.
Where's the equal treatment for all customers ? You think any of the decision makers would know what you were talking about if some one told them that the SOUTHEAST CONFERENCE has had quite a few COLLEGE FOOTBALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS that last few years. And that quite a few SEC ALUMNI live outside the SEC FOOTPRINT, and that it is the strongest conference in college football ?

Got the app working on my phone, but can't get it to work on the Amazon Fire TV. That doesn't even give me the option for SEC Network.
I've even de-activated and re-activated the access to WatchESPN through the Amazon Fire. Still no SEC Network option.

Reset box...no HD, SD still looks like garbage. My TV has a stretch feature but that makes it even junkier. Looks about as good as the picture quality on my 20 year old RCA TV.

Pressing the # button three times will zoom in, stretching the picture in both directions to fill up the screen and keeping the acurate proportions.

Yes I know. Even when it does that it's just bad. The "ideal" is the tight little picture, but it's too freaking small for a good game. Stretch at least gets rid of the black bars, but none of this helps the quality. It's just bad!!
Now I have to hope my Gators have a really good season so all their games get moved to the regular ESPN channels/CBS so I don't have to deal with the SEC Network on Fios.
Just a shame. Love fios other than this whole mess.

So is the SEC Network available on WatchESPN or not? Seems to be conflicting information. For the record, I'm in Winchester, Virginia at the moment and CANNOT get it to stream.
It's available, but not working.
I watched the first 6-7 minutes of the game on ESPN3 just fine, then the feed crapped out and hasn't come back since. At first I thought it was my internet, but every other event on there is working just fine.

Good to see that there are others having issues as well. Probably so many folks hitting the WatchESPN feed because there is no HD feed. Hopefully things will ease up a bit Saturday and going forward as more games are played and not everyone is focusing on one game.
I'm not sure I can stand to watch the entire season in SD. Hopefully everyone will keep the pressure on Verizon as we did to even get the network and they will see the need to off HD to everyone.

Verizon, just add channel #575 for everyone. Very poor planning by upper management. I hope they get the message and add HD for all its subscribers, not a select few!!

As of last night no HD for me in northern Virginia. ESPN Watch was working for me last night. I hooked up the laptop to the TV and watch in HD that way. I do this for MLBTV all season. It's some hassle but not too bad. The connection is usually very good for me. Some nights are a problem but not many. On my Kindle Fire I did have to re-load the ESPN Watch app on it to see the SEC Network. I really don't know why it wouldn't work until I did that but after I did it was fine.

I used to hook up the computer to my HD tv. It worked great. But now I use Apple TV to view Watch ESPN/SECN. It works like a charm and the picture quality is excellent and no hassle of all the wires and hooking up the laptop.
