I know that down south SEC Network is offered; however, considering you offer the Big 10 network and the Longhorn network nationwide I don't see how a network for such a huge fanbase isn't offered. Especially for the Ultimate Package. Can we please get more sports channels, especially in HD?

The overflow channel for the football games this week on the SEC Network will be channel 332 per this article. They are carrying two games at the same time at noon,4 pm and 7:30 pm.

@medeski7 wrote:Personally, I think it goes to the entire subscriber base on the basic plan. It's cheaper for Verizon to carry the package for out-of-footprint subscribers. Thus, I don't see the logic in forcing those outside the footprint to pay more.
I agree. I can see it actually costing more where demand is likely higher but I'm not seeing the business case where it only goes to TX and FL. Though I guess stranger things have happened! 😉

I live here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia which is full of SEC graduates and fans since it is a hub for the military. I am constantly seeing SEC school stickers and tags here. Verizon please {please keep your posts courteous} offer it nation wide for all of us before I have to go back to Cox or shift to Direct or Dish.

Our local school in the Hampton Roads area - Old Dominion University - has a game this fall at Vanderbilt. Though it's far enough out that TV coverage has not been announced, you can bet $$$ it will be on the SEC Network. Even if you're not a fan of an SEC school, if a team you like plays a game at an SEC school, you need the SEC Network to see it.

I'm in Maryland also flying the UT colors but have the basic package and have no problem upgrading if that's what it takes. I know and see numerous fans from all the SEC schools so I know the SEC is well represented in the Balt/DC area and other major metropolitan areas in the northeast.

Would love to see the SEC Network offered nationwide on the same level. Just because we are outside the SEC doesn't mean we don't have ties to the Southeast. A huge fan myself with one daughter at Georgia and one daughter at Bama. I have been calling Comcast today to get switched over and grateful to learn the news today. There are many households just like myself in the Philly, Jersey, DC/VA that have kids going to school down at SEC schools. Verizon.....do the right thing and offer viewership at same level nationwide for a super sports channel. You can already see how strong it is within the lineup for ALL sports networks.

Thanks for your post. The only thing I really understand on it, is that Verizon is going to carry the SEC NETWORK. PAC 12 DEAL ? ALL SPORTS NETWORK---YES ? What's YES going to carry ?
What is this New Espn/ Disney deal all about ? Appreciate any other informed posters insight.

Has verizon or SEC confirmed this? On the SEC Network page it still shows verizon isn't carrying it.
Yeah, I'm not so sure. It's only been mentioned in the same 3 articles online all day, none of which is a major news outlet.

Carry it in the Washington DC market and you'll have another customer for years to come! Leave us out and I'll be forced to consider Comcast when my contract is up next month. *gasp!*
Would much rather stay with Verizon for SEC football! Git 'er done!

I called this mornign and spoke to rep to get some answers. She said they have come to an agreement, but they have no other info on when it will launch on Fios. Living in Pennsylvania, my concern was it would not be available to me since I am nto in the SEC footprint. She said it will be available on the Ultimate package, which I carry, so that is good. I have nothing to back this up, but if they agreed yesterday, then it should be launched by Thursday when my Gamecocks whip those Aggies in Columbia and extend the nations longest home winning streak. Either way, you can still access it via the WatchESPN app with your Verizon login.
