Sony Bravia TV

My Sony Bravia Smart TV on numerous occasions won’t turn on using the Verizon or Sony remote after I have been streaming (YouTube, Hula etc). I am forced to unplug both  the TV and STB before I’m able to turn on the TV. Any suggestions?  I have done a factory reset on the TV. Nothing!

Yes, both the Sony and Verizon remotes will not turn on the TV.  I just did a hard restart (held the TV power button for 20 seconds). Seems to have worked.

My Sony TV just had a firmware update. Check in the menu and see if your TV needs a firmware update. Also check you don't have any dimmable lights or fluorescent lights nearby. sometimes they can interfere with a remote

Thanks, my firmware is up to date and nothing interfering with remotes. Also removed surge protector and power strip.

Do both remotes not work or does only the Fios remote not work? If you unhook the Fios box and stream, does the problem still happen?

Great! Hope that was all it took. After you saying it was BOTH remotes,I was going to suggest you do exactly what you did. That both remotes didn't work pointed to a glitch in the TV, not the remotes.
