Suggest Channels to Add to FiOS TV

Hello All,

I've seen quite a few threads and posts floating around suggesting various channels/programs you would like to see on FiOS TV.  In an effort to consolidate the information, I have decided to create this single thread about the subject.  Feel free to reply to it with your suggestion(s) on what you would like to see on FiOS TV.

Please note:  I make no promises as to whether or not you will see these channels/programs on FiOS TV.  Though I do know that the right people here at Verizon are looking at this thread for your feedback and advice on the matter.

24 Hrs Cricket Channel. Willow just started it.. Plz add this channel to Verizon listing. The biggest(world cup) event is just a month ahead. Disk TV just started offering this channel.

Please add Antenna TV to the Verizon lineup, it is a channel that offers old television shows like Benny HIll, Three stooges, All in the family to name a few. Here is a link to take a look.

Please add MSG HD as i am a big NY Rangers hockey fan ! Sick of watching poor quality on a good tv ! What is the major malfunction with the Verizon fios sports channel 501 they never show the upcoming SU Basketball games on  the guide so you can't set the dvr up to record without guessing!!! Last Saturday took the cake when they didn't show the game till the last 10 minutes, talk about frustrating !!!!!

This is a suggestion to enhance the current Weather Channel HD.

Currently the Local on the 8s feed displays generic national weather.  The Weather Channel people tell me that the technology exists to provide Local weather information for the Local on the 8s segment.  Please contact the Weather Channel and upgrade the HD station to provide this capability.

How is it that comcast offers a better channel selection now? i switched from comcast about a year and a half ago. The internet and tv have been good overall, but the channel selection leaves alot to be desired. I would like E! in HD, MASN + in HD, BET HD, TV One HD, Cartoon Network HD! Cmon Verizon get with the program!!!

Please consider adding 24 hour cricket channel --- Willow TV.   Dish and Direct TV already provide this channel free with the Asian programming option.  

With the World Cup cricket starting year on Feb-19th, it would be good to get this channel through Verizon FIOS. I am sure many cricket fans will sign up for this

If you provide the SD channel, please also provide the matching HD channel. Examples: G4 HD, Cartoon Network HD, etc. Please do this soon.

AND I also agree to the SD to HD line ups - the SD channels should be the same as the SD line ups just as optimum has them...

Verizon needs to include some channels from bangladesh.  There is a huge bangladeshi community on Dish Network and are not willing to go to Fios because there are no Bangladesh Channel.  Please get couple Bangladesh channels and you will see a huge increase in you customer base.

I'd love to see the following added to the HD lineup...

TCM HD (Turner Classic Movies)

Cartoon Network HD

The Comcast Network  HD (Philadelphia)

Any other sports fans in the Philadelphia area...  I'd greatly appreciate it if you request The Comcast Network HD channel as well.

Why cant Verizon provide 1080p HD content? It seems to me that we subscribers are paying an extraordinarily high amount for HD channels and we do not receive true HD content.

FIOS soccer channels are not shown in HD. We moved to FIOS from DIRECTV. They show all soccer channels in HD. COMCAST does the same thing. We also purchased Soccer Channel 1009 for $15 per month. It is not in HD either. We paid the same money for the same channel at DIRECTV but it was in all HD. Does this mean that we get poor and inferior service for the same amount of money compare to your competitors?
