Hello All,
I've seen quite a few threads and posts floating around suggesting various channels/programs you would like to see on FiOS TV. In an effort to consolidate the information, I have decided to create this single thread about the subject. Feel free to reply to it with your suggestion(s) on what you would like to see on FiOS TV.
Please note: I make no promises as to whether or not you will see these channels/programs on FiOS TV. Though I do know that the right people here at Verizon are looking at this thread for your feedback and advice on the matter.
Regards,

@Caps09 wrote:Are you sure that Epix is included in Ultimate HD? I looked at what it includes because I was curious about its value, and I saw no mention of Epix, even in the channel list. It includes Flix, Showtime, and The Movie Channel, but I couldn't find much else. I did see NFL Red Zone on the channel list, so it looks like a good deal if someone with the "old" Extreme HD wants to get that without paying the flat $50 a year.
The channel listing is not updated. It still shows MGM-HD as part of the Extreme package and ION-HD isn't listed anywhere. But yes, EPIX is part of the Ultimate package. And yes, for those who want RED ZONE it's a deal. But, given the high premium charged for RED ZONE, I have to wonder if that's going to be the case (being part of ULTIMATE) when it returns in the fall
Anyway, I know I'd be pretty ticked off if I had to pay more for a bunch of channels I didn't want, just because someone decided to move MGM into the more exorbitant package as well. Others may object to having to pay for premium services just to keep channels they already had. They should have left EXTREME as it was, and then have RED ZONE, EPIX, perhaps FSC when it's up, and whatever else is extraneous, added to an ULTIMATE package. In other words, a package with ALL premium channels, at a discount. That way, others could choose the EXTREME package and add premiums at their whim, tho maybe at a higher price. than they would be if bundled. Instead, they decided to play switch-a-roo with numerous other channels. In fact, some people have lost non-HD channels due to the poorly-conceived ULTIMATE package being implemented. I'm also pretty sure that Verizon is aware of all the complaints about the current packaging. (The poor customer service reps, who are usually the last to be informed about anything, are probably pulling their hair out, going "What the heck happened?!?!?!") I've heard some rumblings (and this is NOT to be taken as any sort of official information) that there may be some changes by the end of April (around the time of the next wave of promo campaigns). Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I even compared the channel lineups, and they look updated for my area. Do you have a link that shows this change? It looked like HBO, Showtime, and Epix were all only available in addition to the bundles.
If I changed my bundle, then Epix wasn't there, I don't think they would give it to me for free just because I heard about it on this board. I will remain a skeptic until I see proof.
I'll add that my big gripe with all the packages is that it appears that non-HD customers have no way of ordering quite a few non-HD sports channels (mostly in the 300's) without buying an HD bundle. Those channels should be offered seperately for those without HD if they aren't already.

Thanks for the link. I still don't trust Verizon though. If everything in the press release is true, I could get every channel I have now, plus Red Zone, plus upgrade my speed from 20/5 to 35/35, all for about $10 less a month.
On the other hand, If I changed my package and I only got what is described in the bundle promotion, I would never be able to go back to what I had. I would have the option of paying extra for HBO, Showtime, and Epix, or just giving them up altogether. There would be no recourse, and no accountablity on the part of anyone at Verizon. Maybe they would give me HBO and Cinemax for free for 3 months.
Verizon really needs to get it together and make it clear what's included in these bundles.

Hello,
I would very much like to see a Channel called Ecuavisa to be added to the programming. My father is waiting for that to be included in the package and as soon as it is he is switching over from direct TV. I'm in love with the Fios internet and TV because it has most of my favorite channels like goltv but can't switch yet cause it does not have my fathers favorite channel. Hopefully you guys will add it.

According to the message on my STB it is because Fox is discontinuing the channel. Here is a link to a news story about it:

Could you please add Fox Soccer Channel HD. This June 2010 is the Soccer World Cup Finals and I see it as a great marketing strategy to include FSC HD in your channel line up which was sure attract more customers to your lineup. Please do not get complacent as those Cable Providers and drop the ball. I hope you see this as a great marketing strategy as much as I do and I hope that you seize this opportunity to maintain your competitive advantage.
Thanks

Would like to see more regional sports networks available, such as Fox West and Fox PRIME from L.A. Would also like to see all the Comcast Sportsnets available, not just the local one - for example, in DC I receive Comcast Sportsnet Midatlantic, but would also like to get Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia. Combined, all of those would be a good foundation for a separate "sports programming" optional tier, rather than the current situation of having them lumped into the Extreme or Ultimate package.

Instead of TV Colombia, FiOS TV should have Canal Caracol Internacional.
If only they did that change, I would ditch DirecTV and switch to FiOS TV in a heartbeat.
