Suggest Channels to Add to FiOS TV

Hello All,

I've seen quite a few threads and posts floating around suggesting various channels/programs you would like to see on FiOS TV.  In an effort to consolidate the information, I have decided to create this single thread about the subject.  Feel free to reply to it with your suggestion(s) on what you would like to see on FiOS TV.

Please note:  I make no promises as to whether or not you will see these channels/programs on FiOS TV.  Though I do know that the right people here at Verizon are looking at this thread for your feedback and advice on the matter.

how about adding the local channels from Philly for those in Middlesex County who live less than 2 miles from Mercer County (Philly's DMA), how about removing the public access channels from Mercer County if they don't pertain to me and how about adding FiOS1 news.... how about explaining to me why, since customer service or your video tech support can't, as to why i'm on VHO 08 but get the VHO 07 channel line up.

Once our street is hooked up I would strongly consider switching from Comcast to FiOS if they were to add the Philadelphia locals to the FiOS here in South Brunswick and Southern Middlesex County. We get them all on Comcast but only WHYY (PBS) is in HD and with Comcast and it's limited bandwidth I am not sure we will ever get the rest in HD. So if FiOS could give us WPVI,WCAU, KYW,WTXF, WPSG and WPHL in HD along with WHYY it would be an upgrade.

I elected to go with FIOS happily because they advertised that they provided Comcast Sportsnet. Being an avid Philly sports follower I have been somewhat disappointed that I have had to miss a few games already because Verizon only has 1 of the 2 channels that broadcast sports. I would like to request that Verizon add "The Comcast Network" channel to their lineup.

I would like to see all local sports net programming added, such as all fox sports net channels, comcast sports etc. other providers let their customers have these available to their customers no matter where you live.

Over 600 posts. Has anything changed except for the bundles and price? But look you can upload faster. Gee that should be an option. Does it really cost that much to program the system to give us more upload speed? No! But it costs to add more channels. So lets bundle fewer channels in the Extreme HD and give people more speed to pay for TV they are asking for. Great plan! NOT! They have not added NASA and the government gives that away. I believe that is one of the first requests in the thread, about 600 posts back! I am supposed to have a positive attitude towards my posts? Some times the truth is worse than fiction.

Early in the first stages of Verizon entering the TV market I suggested the following channels:

Ecuavisa Internacional (Ecuador)

Teleamazonas Internacional (Ecuador)

Telefe Internacional (Argentina)

Chile Vision (Chile)

Antena 3 Internacional (España)

This is the only thing you need to do for the 40 Million spanish community; many hold on to cable or directv because of this limitation on channel coverage.

Congratulations for adding MEGA TV (Miami) the most popular spanish channel in the USA.

I would also like these channels.  There is a huge Ecuadorian population in the United States and at least one of  these channels would be a favorable addition to the line up!  Thanks

Middle of a playoff race and once again no Flyers game because those dogs the 76ers are on CSN. They are terrible and nobody watches them. The Flyers are on TCN and FIOS still doesn't offer that channel. Baseball season is coming and quite a few Phillies games are broadcast on TCN and we will be locked out of those games also. Why do I receive YES{Yankees station}

here in Philly but cannot watch my home teams? Come on Verizon get with the #?%#?X program. All your work wiring up Philly will end up be a waste of time if you don't start giving us our home team sports. I for one will not go through another hockey season missing games, when my year is up I will go back to Comcast for my TV. I am sure they will offer a sweet deal to get my business back.

Agreed with your needs of Comcast , in NY they better get MSG HD , MSG + HD on by Sept. - start of next season , and to boot FIOS 1 NY City , or its back to TW Cable . , and I will have NY RSN HD , Except MSG 2 , MSG + 2 unless they have HD Feeds , NY 1 if no FIOS 1 on VZ , and ONE BILL With their Road Runner Mobile services. Mobile Voice, which Comcast also said they are not counting out adding 4G Mobile Voice to their current offerings . TWC NYC is to get the Mobile 4G Services this year

In the Boston area we do not need another "Fios 1" type channel.

Regional news admittatly is already done well by comcast's NECN which is consistantly among the top 15 channels viewed.

We get the SD channel. We want the HD channel!
