When is Verizon Fios going to carry The Blaze TV?

The price Dish charges is not the amount of money Glenn actually gets.  Also, there is undoubtedly a different price point for subscribers who receive it as part of a package vs those who deliberately subscribe to it.

There's some amount of money that Dish has to make to even make it worth their trouble to take a phone call from somoene looking to add the channel.  If, for example, they only made $0.50 above what they had to pay Glenn, it's going to cost them that more than that just to have a person talk to a subscriber.

TNT is the highest non-sports channel at $1.48 per subscriber.  Here's a site that has a list of some of the more expensive stations ...

I have no idea what Glenn Beck charges, but there's just no way that they would be able to command the kind of money you're seeing here.

$9.95/month or $99.95/year is what it costs end users to subscribe to the channel.  That is NOT what he is charging cable companies to carry it.  I have no idea what his charge to cable providers is, but it's certainly way under $1.

Under $1, I seriously DOUBT that. Hell, DISH charges $5 for it if you do not subscribe to the highest tier package they carry.

Bobbo527,  I get it, you are not a conservative and don't like the Blaze.  You don't know what kind of deal The Blaze is making with their Carriers and neither do I but I'm sure it's nowhere close to $10 a subscriber or no one would be carrying it. Don't you think that other opinions other than you own should be made available to all? I don't hear you complaining about any other channels that are added.  We subsidize many channels that have little or no viewership for political reasons and I'm sure that the reason for not offering the Blaze is just that a political reason.  Hopefully with the increasing popularity of internet streaming of TV the current Cable & Satellite providers will recognize the need to provide a service where people subscribe only to the services they wish to receive. Verizon should poll their subscribers to see if they are willing to pay to receive The Blaze and maybe offer it as an optional service.

I agree there are channels that each of us don't want or want to subsidize.

But I find it interesting that the website itself promotes local subscriptions moreso than trying to get people to have their local cable systems carry them.

Given that they have multiple options (including Roku and Apple TV) to be able to watch on your TV and people have said they are willing to pay, why not just go with that option?

Yes, I could subscribe to the Blaze but then I would need a hardware appliance and have to use a different remote change to another video source. I currently have my remoted maxed out and so I'm sure someone would just say that I should buy one with more devices.  The one I have now supports 6 devices.  I also would not be able to use my DVR to capture episodes.   This choice will cost more and be more difficult than the addition of a single channel when I currently have hundreds that I don't watch and directly or indirectly pay for.  Those other channels may be the choice of others but no me. Why shouldn't I have the same option as those that get their channels without additional complexity?  If Verizon wants people to get used to getting their viewing choices from the Internet they are only quickening the transition that is eventually going to hurt their bottom line.

the Blaze is NOT an extremely expensive channel.   My guess it would cost Verizon a lot less than Al Jazeera AMerica.

Bad guess.  Al Jazeera is actually paying to be carried.  The Blaze is asking a fair amount, dollars not cents, to be carried.

I just want someone from Verizon to tell me why they will not add TheBlaze TV and why you guys have no problem adding a channel like Al Jazeera America.  I have no problem canceling my service or even paying an early cancellation fee because I will not remain a customer until someone at Verizon can give me a good reason why they won't add TheBlaze TV.

I don't care hugely about TheBlaze, but I .really. did not like having Al Jazeera show up on my TV listings.  I have switched and my TV is now Al Jazeera free.

When will Verizon add TheBlaze. I would switch providers if FiOS had TheBlaze on its channel line up.   Will someone reply to this forum post?

The Real News on BlazeTV is the best source of polical news. It's less biased, more factual, and its regulars and guests are very professional and knowledgeable.

I find it interesting that no cable company carries The Blaze (at least as far as I can tell from their website).

Maybe he doesn't want to be carried. Probably makes more money with people signing up and paying monthly.

Are there any plans for Verizon Fios to carry The Blaze in the NY area?

Why do I have to contribute to terrorism via Al Jazzera everytime I pay my Fios bill, but Fios refuses to carry a network who's motto is "The Truth Lives Here"???

Locally, cablevision and Dish carry The Blaze TV.  Do I really need to change carriers for this?

DON"T ASK HERE VERIZON WILL NOT ANSWER.

This forum is peer to peer.

Personally I think they have no plan to carry it ever.

8 HOURS - that is how many hours I spend on the Internet INSTEAD OF ON FIOS TV because Verizon will not add The Blaze TV to their line-up.  #HoursNotOnFIOSTV

I bet if we started keeping track of this number across all Verizon customers it would be a pretty large number.  It might be something that advertisers would be interested in - how much air time Verizon loses by not listening to the desires of their customers!!!

I would also watch The Blaze if it were on FIOS.  Would even pay for that channel.

They don't list one.

But they do list Ipad/Iphone and Roku access for those that want to pay for the service.
Given that it is $10/month, its no wonder that most cable companies have not signed on.

Even if it was half that, I don't see them paying that much for this channel (or most like it).

Do you have Verizon internet?

And just in case this question never gets answered...the point I was going for was that if one has both FiOS TV and internet, I don't think Verizon cares which one you use, because either way, you're paying for their service.

Please stop ignoring the numerous request to add “TheBlaze” TV to your line-up.  They provide compelling news shows, documentaries, reality programs and original specials.  TheBlaze is more than a TV channel, it's a community.  Faith, family, ingenuity, respect and truth are the values they share with their audience.  Furthermore, I prefer American values and integrity over the other channels you have decided to broadcast (i.e. Russia Today, Al Jazera, etc.).  I am paying for channels I do not want.  As long as you continue to operate in this manner, I will never require your services and I will be happy to inform as many people as possible.

As long as you keep posting in the peer to peer forum, Verizon will continue to ignore your request.  Not saying that they will ever add Blaze (personally I don't want it added), but they don't even see you here.
