When I try to use the Guide to search for a program, the screen is almost completely black, with just a few white lines. One channel is identified at the left, but no program information or channel number is available. The same situation occurs with the DVR screen.
What model STB do you have?
If it is older model, sounds like it is dying.
Mine is doing the same
thing and my tv is brand new.
Was not referencing the TV as being old, but the STB.
