I was told these are universal remotes from Verizon.
How come I cant get the volume to work with my Samsung tv? How do I make this work? There are tons of codes listed. I tried the hold down the Ok button and star button and then press volume down, but that didnt do anything and nothing blinked. Can this work or no?

I found the Remote control user instructions pdf earlier today by googling. I used the method that the 2nd rep gave me (hold the Tv button and OK button, then enter the code). It finally worked for the 2nd code of 24 of them.
Good thing I called a 2nd rep because the first rep ended up telling me that the universal remote may not work for Samsung. Glad i called another persion! The second person gave me 4 codes originally , but none worked. Then after i searched for more codes, i found the 24 that apply to Samsung. The volume now works , although i have to click it one boost at a time instead of holding it down and having it gradually increase, but that is a very minor problem. No more 2 remotes! I solved it.

I don't know if this will help you, but I have 3 Samsung TVs and the first code I found did what you described, but going further through the list I found another code that did work by just holding down the volume key. So if having to hit the key repeatedly to increase or decrease the volume becomes really irritating you might try the other codes, one might do what you want.
