Have FIOS TV for abouth a month and came across something I don't understand.
Last night we were recording two different shows. Then my kids wanted to watch a VOD show but a message said there is a conflict.
I don't understand why I can't record two shows and watch a VOD show. I believe I can watch two shows and watch a recorded DVR show fine.
Anyone?
Thanks, Jim

VOD uses one of the tuners. You can only record one show if you want to watch VOD.

Let me try to make it simple.
There are 2 tuners in the Verizon DVR.
- You can record 2 shows while playing back an already recorded show (playback of a recorded show does not require a tuner).
- You can record one show and watch one show live (again uses both tuners).
- You can record one show and watch a VOD (again each requires a tuner so both tuners are in use).
