Verizon VMS1100 unresponsive

So I've been having an ongoing issue with my box...it turns itself on but won't let me turn it off or watch FiOS TV.

If I switch over to my box it displays the usual "press menu to watch FiOS TV" as it would if the box was off, but the power button is lit up as if the box was on and being used. If I unplug it and plug it back in, the box works for a day before starting the issue all over again.

It is an Arris VMS1100 that is hooked up to a VOIP phone and FiOS Internet...both of which still work fine.

My VMS 1100 flamed out recently (acutally two of them within a couple weeks).  Prior to that, they were getting slow to respond.  (See my post in this forum).

You should call tech support, and demand a replacement unit.  That solved my issues (for now).

I do have a second unit. I'll give that a shot until I get ahold of customer service. Thank you.

I would appreciate any other suggestions.
