Verizon dropping AMC?

Watching Land of the Dead tonight on AMC and a quick white banner jumps on and off the bottom of the screen. But I caught a few words of the text. Anyone else catch it say, "Verizon being dropped by AMC" or something similar....???

I don't think we were meant to see it but I did. It lasted only 2-3 secs and was yanked fast! Are we going to be held hostage now too? I dropped Optimum because of nonsense like this. Nothing worse than the providers and networks forcing the viewers to do their dirty work for them while screwing us out of what we pay for.

As a good standing customer, we would also be extremely unsatisfied if verizon were to drop AMC! Verizon should pay whatever fees they require and take their losses because their gains are pretty freakin high anyway!!!!

I guess some executive will ahve to forfeit an extra home or boat this year.

Do not drop AMC I watch too many shows in this channel such as Madmen & The Walking dead That is one too many than CBS hey you can dropp msnbc

Please do what you can for your customers and work this out.  

Without AMC in the line up I will be switching to another service provider (TV, Phone, Internet) just like I did when Cablevision started this nonsense with dropping channels.

Does anybody know why? Is AMC or Verizon at fault? I like the AMC channel along with many other people I know but if they are being ridiculous, like many networks can be, I will not petition for them.

I attempted to send an email request to AMC Networks through their contact us link but every time I had submit the email the page errored out. I guess I will try again later.

Between TV internet home phone and cell phones I pay verizon 500 dollars per month,  Their service is not really all that great but I stick with them just because of the hassle of switching.  If they drop AMC or any other channel I will switch to XFINITY.  I will go through the temporary hassle to make the permanent point that these big corporations are too greedy and always screw the Hard working public.  BOOOO verizon.

Talked to customer service and they were very rude. Basically they said if they keep AMC I am going to have to pay more "do you want that" is what they said. Well what I want is AMC and I will "get that" even if it means with someone else. I know my bill is only 100 dollars a month, but mutiple all the 100 dollar bills that watch The Walking Dead. I hope this all works out, but don't tell me the customer that I will have to pay more to get WHAT IS ALREADY IN MY CONTRACT!

I think over the past few years AMC has developed original programming that would compete with premium channels such as HBO, Showtime.  I have always enjoyed AMC movies, but lately I have been watching AMC now more than my premiums so it is simple, if I loose AMC I will move all (internet, cable, phone) services to a provider with the channels I enjoy.

AMC was wrong to use us as pawns in their negotiations, however if the networks are still writing them off as a mediocre

 channel then it takes all of our voices to state the channels importance.  The notifications on the bottom of the screen do get annoying.

I wasvery was very disappointed to hear there may be a day will no longer be able to see some if my favorite programming on AMC on my fios. If I cannot get AMC with Verizon I will take my business elsewhere, as well as encourage others to leave...

My wife and I have been FIOS customers for 6 years. I love FIOS, but if you drop AMC, we'll drop you. I have two neighbors that feel the same way. Please don't do this. Work it out....

Please do us all a favor, keep amc, I will gladly give you the cw in its place. I do admit that it is rather suspicious that this same situation with amc has recently occurred with other providers.
