Watching Land of the Dead tonight on AMC and a quick white banner jumps on and off the bottom of the screen. But I caught a few words of the text. Anyone else catch it say, "Verizon being dropped by AMC" or something similar....???
I don't think we were meant to see it but I did. It lasted only 2-3 secs and was yanked fast! Are we going to be held hostage now too? I dropped Optimum because of nonsense like this. Nothing worse than the providers and networks forcing the viewers to do their dirty work for them while screwing us out of what we pay for.

Hi All-
I'm THRILLED to announce that Verizon and AMC have reached a deal to continue carrying the network's programs! There will be no interruption to your channel offerings, so you don't have to worry about missing a minute of your favorite show.
Thanks for sticking with us!

I am in the minority let them go. Everybody else can go to crappy Comcast and then in 6 months you will be in an uproar because AMC will do the same crap to that company. Good riddance to bad programming.

Please don't get rid of AMC & WE TV, my parents watch AMC all the time and love all the old movies. We also watch and love both channels. Get rid of some of the music channels

I actually could care less if AMC is dropped so long as something of quality takes its place.

I'd like to weigh in on the possible loss of AMC. Comcast is leaving leaflets every week at my door and via the mail. I used to toss that material out. I will now put it aside in case Verizon decides to pull the plug on AMC.. if that happens
guess what? I'm pulling the plug on Verizon. Enough already - you raise your already high rates; your channel info
software stinks...keep it up Verizon and I will join the others and leave. It's only a phone call away.

Fo me personally, I am getting fed up with Verizon FIOS and their tactics here lately.
First they begin increasing their rates on their packages and now I am spending ~$50 more a month on service than previously when I switched over from Comcast.
Now they are canceling and dropping channels left and right, and beginning to switch channels at random between packages that were once available on one package and then disappears overnight to another and wants you to subscribe and pay more.
PLUS - I am growing tired of every 2 - 3 channels there is a freakin' "On-Demand" channel. It seems like I have almost more OD channels than actual channels I pay for. Ridiculous.
In addition, AMC is one favorite of mine. I enjoy the movies with the story notes as well as the 3 or so programming AMC offers.
Now, I do not know who is exactly to blame here for the possible loss of AMC, IFC et al, but I am growing tired of the high premiums of Verizon FIOS televsion.
I am about 2 shakes away of dropping and going into negoitations with Comcast (as much as I despise them)......money is money IMO.

I agree with all of the comments on here about them dropping channels we pay for I have the xtreme package one step sown from the ultimate end now channels are being taken away I think I might go back with comcast. Also my bill has gone up over the last three months by 20 to 30 each month and when I asked them about it they tell me all different things but don't answer my question getting tired of all this fast.

I watch AMC shows, but I personally am sick and tired of this public death threat tactic which Cablevision employs. Cablevision, owners of AMC, We, IFC, and Sundance, as well as the MSG channels, do this in EVERY negotiation they have. They have drawn out battles with cable providers over AMC, and Cablevision itself is always threatening to drop networks from their service.
Just to stick it to the Dolan family, I hope Verizon dumps AMC. I'll watch the shows on Netflix.
So STOP BLAMING VERIZON!!!!! This is a common negotiating tactic from the sleazy Dolan family.

Why do people think AMC Networks is now a "SPIN OFF" from CableVision? Doland's don't really own all of it do they? Yes I have my opinion, but fear to voice it here because of the new UN Laws for Deep Packet Inspection!Dolands <BLANK>
