Why can't I watch TV from my laptop? I  can't watch ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, etc. I could with Xfinity.

Hi, You will need to download the Fios Tv app on your device &sign in to be able to watch live TV from that device.

Have you tried visiting https://tv.verizon.com/ and signing in?  After signing in, you'll receive a text message with a code on your mobile phone.  Enter the code and you should then be able to watch live TV on your laptop... limited to the channels you subscribe to.

There are also Fios TV apps for your phone and tablet that let you stream live TV.

I do not get a text  message on my phone, so that does not work, more than 75% of the channels from my HOME PC say I have to be at home to view them.  Makes not sense.

Did you ever get a resolution? I am now having this issue. Support has been totally unhelpful--scheduled a tech to come to my house today and he said of course it's nothing he can fix and it's the site programmers (who he thinks are a third party).

Until last week I could watch all channels included in our cable package through tv.verizon.com/watch. As the Verizon Fios website says "Watch Fios TV: Stream live content on your web browser, tablet or smartphone"

Last week the site would show "channel unavailable" for every channel. Clicking one a channel to watch brought an error message claiming I was not at my house on the home wifi, which of course I was. After resetting my router yesterday when chatting online with a support tech, the bulk of the channels came back (starting with USA Network 550 in my area). But local affiliates of ABC, CW, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS are all still showing as unavailable.

Interestingly, these channels are working properly to stream via app on iPad or iPhone. Just not the browser through the website. And yes, I have tried Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Brave browsers. It's not a browser issue.

I prefer to be able to use my laptop while others in my home are using the TV. Frequently the iPad is also in use by my wife. Watching via phone is not ideal for live sports, when I'm in my own house on the wifi and should be able to stream on the laptop.

I have Fios cable, internet, and Verizon mobile service.

No, never resolved.  Trying to view FIOS TV on anything but a supplied FIOS box or a phone is useless.  Very unhappy with this situation.  Comcast gave me way better viewing options.  I may eventually switch back if they don't get this stupid situation resolved.

From what I have been told, it is a security issue on a computer versus an app. It seems Verizon is able to control recording and sharing on an app better than on a computer. So a LOT of the providers will not allow them to give access to programming on the computer.

That holds no water for me; how come Comcast has no such issues?  Everything available on a computer, and even at home  using a very nice Roku app.  Verizon is just too lazy to get this done.

The issue is that Verizon Corp Finance mad a decision to longer pay for the rights to allow us to watch TV on our PC or Mac Computers.  We have been financially harmed by this unannounced change in service, This is a significant reduction of service and value, and many customer have been harmed.

There are 6 options, 1 Drop VZ cable TV and go to Google TV, 2. switch back to Comcast, 4. contact FCC and FTC, 5. Contact and File Complaint with state PUC, 6. and/or contact a local NBC affiliate's investigative team, and they will vigorously pursue this issue, since they are owned by Comcast and it will provide them with another competitive advantage.

If enough customers pursue these options, and let VZ know why they are switching, it may cause them enough pain to decide to pay for the original level of service promised to all customer in VZ adverts and Marketing.,

I have Comcast now and would like to switch to FIOS for the pricing advantages. This is why I left FIOS and switched to Comcast some time ago. It's unfortunate that they still have not decided to correct this issue.
