I am upgrading to Quantum service. My current system uses the QIP7232-2 STB/DVR. I have a lot of TV shows that are programmed for regular (weekly) recording.
When I bring the new Quantum Arris VMS online, will I have to reprogram these recordings or will they be retained? I'm hoping I don't have to reprogram.

You need to export your scheduled recordings to the cloud and then import them when you move to the VMS. They will not automatically transfer.

To export the schedule recordings: STB Main Menu >> DVR >> Configure & Upgrade >> Export Series to Cloud.
I think you'll be presented with the choice to import when you turn on the VMS the first time, per reports on another forum. I don't know where the import feature is in the VMS menu.

I just upgraded to Quantum and it will definately prompt you to import your saved settings.

It prompted me and restored them and I did not export them. I had printed them off to make sure I had them from the website. Perhaps just having the website look at the DVR is enought to get them backed up.
