I read Aljazeera's sport press release that they bought the rights for the Spanish league in the USA from GolTv, is FIOS going to carry this channel that is supposed to launch on August 1st?

As a Soccer Fan GolTV is Usless/Garbage its in SD (Blurry Vision) and doesn't show anything worthwhile,I can watch Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Fox Soccer Channel in HD if I want same with Dortmund, most true Soccer Fans in the USA want to be able to see a Few things some
Barclays Premier League (EPL) FSC/ESPN
Serie A (Italian) Bien
Ligue 1 (France) Bien
Liga BBVA (Spain) Bein
And definately USMNT away Games/ Bien
Do you see why Bien is important & Im sorry Fios Should of had it months ago get ahead of the game guys , you guys need a Soccer rep ? cause the one you Have currently is awful with a capital A

And everyone can watch Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, and Juventus on FSC in the UEFA Champions League too. So this is not a good argument. For many people, as long as fios has the EPL, i.e., FSC and FS+ then we'll stay. The rest of the football programming is a bonus.
Also, many people are ignoring the fact that Bein Sports has two channels they are offering (I'm assuming the Spanish is a Espanol copy of Bein Sports 1 as 1523 is a copy of 313). So a simple swap of GolTV with Bein will not get you all your desired team matches anyway. And you can't simply swap an SD channel for an HD channel, so Bein Sports will likely be "blurry vision" too if they dropped GolTV only for Bein Sports. Moreover, GolTV still has a lot to offer besides the Bundesliga, e.g., the leagues of Argentina and Brazil (Neymar).
I think recommending other channels to cut might be another option? MavTV and BlackbeltTV would be my suggestion. Mav is even in HD. What exactly do they program? Whenever I go to that channel, they seem to be showing some girl working out, sometimes in slow motion replay. What is the point of that? Verizon should make the perverts who watch that buy one of the premium channels for that (Playboy). And Blackbelt TV doesn't even have enough viewer interest for a wikipedia page. These are possibly channels Verizon should also consider dropping if they need space for both Bein channels. What other sports channels should they consider dropping?

I'd like to add my request to carry beIN to the others. EPL is moving to I believe NBC sports next year which will make Fox Soccer essentially dead. Since 1. Many fans got the sports package expecting to see the main Euopean matchs and 2. Most of the other major providers have made or are making deals to get beIN it's time for verizon to step up and get beIN on their service.

I had an opportunity to watch BeInSport on a directTV feed while flying last week. The programming was excellent and FIOS is sure to lose many customers if the channel remains unavailable to its customers. I joined FIOS years ago because my former cable provider offered terrible customer service. Now I feel like it is FIOS who is falling behind on the important part of their business. FIOS customers demand BeInSport!

The operative word here is "etc". While everyone drools over big-name stars, the reality is that an enormous range of games, with lots of other good teams, have moved to the heavens.
Also, EPL rights expire this year, and consider the possibility that FSC will have very little going for it as well. At least now, having lost Italy, it can be less hypocritican, because it is basically an ill-disguised publicity shop for England.
Alas, I suspect that Verizon will notice this in about 12 years

from the looks of it fios is promoting piracy by forcing people to watch soccer games on Justintv after paying $200/month for FIOS services!!! #FIOSPromotesPiracy, #SoccerForSome!
as you can see they don't care about us at all, no verizon staff person responded to this thread, eventhough they moved my idea from Idea exchange to this TV Programming forum!!

Please add BEIN SPORT USA to your lineup. Spanish La Liga Soccer used to be on GolTV and now is on BEIN SPORT USA or Al Jezeera sport. I am giving you four weeks before I switch to Direct TV. I'm not sure how many subscribers you'll lose quickly if this doesn't happy. I've been a happy Fios cusotmer for five years and would like not to have to switch.

This forum is just peer to peer.
Verizon rarely announces plans in advance. So even if they were adding it today, you probably not see them announce it to fter it was up. e.g. the recent add of BBCA HD.
This really belongs in the Share Your Ideas with Verizon forum. There is already a request there

For anyone that stumbles upon this forum post and the accompanying comments and is interested in getting access to these channels which are the only legal option for watching La Liga, Serie A and League 1...
The Idea Exchange forum is apparently the place to request channel lineup changes and there is currently a post there you can vote on and be heard. It's currently the 2nd top voted request. Let's get it to number 1 so Verizon pays attention.

I totally agree with you. I am planning to follow your steps. I am a soccer fan and Verizon now has nothing left to offer its soccer fan customers. Or maybe....very little left.

I switched from Directv to Fios , but I now see that since Directv has beIN Sport and Verizon doesn't, we may not be able to see the football season -- the real football season, I mean, with La Liga, and SerIes A. While I'm generally happy with Verizon, that is like losing the NFL for some people, so unless Verizon gets beIN Sport soon, I'll beswitching back to Directv. And the season has started, so they have to get it soon! Please Verizon!
