I read Aljazeera's sport press release that they bought the rights for the Spanish league in the USA from GolTv, is FIOS going to carry this channel that is supposed to launch on August 1st?

February 6 ithe US Men will be in Honduras to open World Cup Qualifying and most interested Fios customers will assume it's on there somewhere.  Please add beIN Sports USA.

We have the US-Honduras game coming up on Feb 6th as well as all the US away games for world cup qualifying. I'd signed up for FIOS for soccer coverage. Time to carry BEIN Sport, Verizon.

I also share the sentiment of all abandoned loyal customers. I pay I've $500 per month for Verizon bundle including FIOS. When I was approached by trained sales person they promised me that I will all the sports choices that I had with my previous providers. So far I feel deceived and I strongly feel that is criminal to

Continue- is criminal to continue to pay over $500 to a provider that can not deliver in the promise to deliver decent sports service. I missed over 50% of la liga games. I have made up to leave Verizon as soon as I have the fastest opportunity.

Amazing that we can get El Tri on ESPN, but cannot watch USA away games because they are carried only on BeIN. And MExican fans are not going to watch the English broadcast of ESPN. **bleep**?

I have been unable since August-2012 to get an answer from FIOS about when or whether they intend to offer BEIN.  I had all these games for many years on Comcast.  I can only assume FIOS does not care & is willing to lose thousnds of subscribers.  I'm ready to pay the early termination fee & go back to Comcast.  FIOS has made no attempt whatsover to offer any info on this topic,  but continue to hide behind robotic representatives who plead ignorance.

Lose thousands of subscribers over this little niche channel? Very doubtful. And why didn't all you people clamoring for this channel check its availability - or lack thereof - on FiOS before choosing FiOS?

Unfortunately, I live in a development where VERIZON FIOS is the ONLY provider.  I would switch back to DirectTV in a heartbeat in order to have the programming available for International Futbol... if I could.  But that option is not available.

Bein Sports didn't exist a year ago, Sangs, or at least didn't carry all the leagues it now does. This is a forum about adding Bein Sports to Fios. If you don't know what Bein is or care about adding it, please don't chime in.

No, actually. If the handful of people here can keep whining about the channel - owned by Al Jazeera and Time Warner Cable btw - I can keep whining about all the whining. Bottom line - there are other options available. All these people threatening to leave over one channel, just do it then. Stop telling us you'll be leaving. We don't care. Just do it. Go get your boring soccer fix from Comcast or Directv.

It's extremely sad that we can watch every WC Qualifying match for Mexico on Fios in America, but not the ones for our home country team.  If Verizon doesn't make some headway very soon with adding beIN Sports USA to their programming, I will be dropping Fios and moving to DirectTV or Dish Network.

I've been a loyal Verizon Fios customer for at least 5 years now and enjoy the service and layout of their cable tv service, but losing out on seeing some of the world's top soccer leagues (Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1) not to mention World Cup Qualifying for the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team is getting to be too much.

The fact that I can get in on these events just by switching my cable tv provider is becoming too easy to pass up.

Verizon, please add beIN Sports USA to your programming soon or you will be losing my household as a customer.

I am just going to say that it is a sad day when I can't watch a USA world cup qualifier because my provider doesn't carry the channel.  Fios obviously has no idea how important this is to us.

Fios, please make it right and get bein sports.

The only way to make them care is to change providers. go to bein sports website to find providers offering bein sports channel.  http://www.beinsport.tv/

No the disgrace is the soccer federations who opted for more money instead of carriage on channels most providers already had.

Actually, with due respect, this is a naive statement. For one thing, the leagues don't go around negotiating with individual carriers. They most often sign deals with a small number of carriers and/or distributors. Secondly, can you blame them for, when the contracts are coming due, maximizing their revenue? Did the NFL turn down ESPN because not everyone can afford cable?

The other issue is this: in essence, the addition of this channel would not increase Verizon's costs because when the contracts with Gol and Fox come up, the disappearance of the leagues from these outlets will dramatically reduce their value and cost to Verizon. I mention Fox because, alas, NBC has gotten the rights to the English league next year, and this is virtually Fox's obsession, not only in coverage but in talk, and it will be left with the Champions League, basically.

So - Gol and Fox will cost less and/or disappear, and the money will be spent on  BeIn. Most likely a zero-sum affair. What I guess is happening with the delay is the term of these two contracts. Maybe Verizon is waiting for their expiration before reducing the outlay and lauching BeIn.

I suppose Verizon did the math. It took into account the customers that they are loosing to other providers plus the negative effect of not incorporating new customers because they don't offer certain channels that other providers do. It also must have taken into account the loss of loyalty and consideration to its customers and how that would affect future revenue. Its all about making the most money with no consideration to the service they provide. In the long run they will pay a price. People don't forget.
