my set top box keeps restarting. 20x a day.
i open tv guide it restarts. i turn ip volume it restarts.
i pause....restart.
play dvr....restart.
for 5 months now....it comes and goes.....a week it will be fine....then everyday restarts 20x a day.
finally called verizon to send a tech....and get this....they said theres a "possibility" i have to pay $99 for repair.
think about that. I HAVE TO PAY $99.
The repair charge only applies if the problem is caused by something in your house like a bad outlet. Check by using an extension cord to another outlet and check ALL power connections to and from the power supply and see if it still does the same thing. If it does, you can feel pretty confident the box or its power supply is bad. That replacement should cost you nothing.
