now how to access?  There are no channels coming through when i just "connect the coax to the TV" as I was told by CS...

Couple of questions:

1) Do you know if your TV has a built in QAM tuner? If you aren't sure, google your TV model and look at specifications.

2) Do you have coax input set to cable not antenna?

3) Have you done channel scan?
