This remote is designed to support STB and TV only.
Actually I am looking at a similar problem. Probable the things to look at HDMI CEC controls on your TV and Receiver. My p265v3 and tv remotes controls use to control my Denon volume when I had the receiver was switched to TV SOUND (arc).
For some reason it has stopped, and I haven't figured out why. I don't think any firmware was updated. Hate having to find the receivers remote to adjust sound, esp. since from my TV viewing position I don't have a good line of sight to the receiver.
Well this post got me to play with my own setup. I finally got it to work again when I set a input setting from auto to hdmi. Unfortunately I can't find the setting again. I think it was for the TV SOUND, but I can't find it again. (it wasn on the input assign screen).
