picture quality since set top box upgrade using VM4100ps

I was forced to upgraded my 15 year old box with a perfect picture. No w this new set top has terrible picture on all the channels. I went through all the video settings with no luck. I have an LG C4 OLED and all my streaming services look great. So it has to be the set top box or video decoder.  Anyone have any ideas ? I'm ready to cancel this service and switch to optimum after 15 years

I don't know if you are the same poster, but someone else with an LG OLED recently posted about the same issue. The problem is the Fios+ boxes will send HDR to the TV regardless of source if they see a 4K capable device. They are supposedly working on a fix, the timeframe is not available.

thanks for you reply.   This really is unacceptable that my 15 year old set up box had a better picture.  This fix needs to come soon. I'm ready to cancel Fios

I already explained why the older box SEEMED to have a better picture. If you limit the Fios box t 1080P, you should see the quality return to normal. Use the TV apps for streaming.

Switch to Optimum.  Don’t waste your time or money anymore.    I was “upgraded” about a month and a half ago and the TV signal is total garbage.  My reception is pixelated and I get the spinning circle in the middle of the screen about every ten seconds.   My TV is about 30 feet from the router, and I have a booster.  This new wifi equipment is a total joke.   I cannot watch a show for more than a minute without it skipping or glitching.    I’ll be contacting Optimum next week.

thanks for your reply.  None of my channels look right after the upgrade. I did change the video to 1080p and no real difference.. I'm gonna see what packages Optimum has to offer
