Anyone know the remote code to control the Arris VMS1100 STB using a third party universal remote? Arris tech support has no techdocs on this exclusive VZ box, and VZ tech support transferred me to Arris because after 20 minutes of digging and googling they could not answer the question.
Not sure what it is but its the same as all the other Verizon Fios boxes (ARRIS is the rename for the former Motorola boxes as well).
The third party universal remote worked perfectly with the STB we had previously (Motorola built I think) but it is erratic or non-functional with the Arris VMS1100. Any suggestions?
I have found the angle for the VMS1100 remote sensor is narrowier than my previous 7232 But as said the codes are the same as they issue the same remotes for both.
I can confirm the codes are the same. I use a Logitech Harmony 650 remote and works the same. I did have to re-upload the settings to it when I received the VMS because for some odd reason the menu settings would jump. Logitech didn't have the VMS settings in their system yet so I used the old settings from the old boxes and everything worked the same.
