widget message frozen on screen>>>s

I have this same problem:

The message box reads as is: "CONFIRM EXIT You are about to exit this widget are you sure you want to exit? Cancel, Exit to DVR", This box is located at the middle of my screen and watching TV is almost unbearable to me. I tried clicking cancel and exit, but no buttons on my remote will clear the box, it seems to be frozen on my screen. I had this message box on my screen for at least 10 hrs now.

but the answer instructs user to go to STB and make some adjustments.  what's STB?  how do I get there?   what do I do then?

Set top box means stb. So unplug it for fifteen seconds. Plug it back in
