30 day wait - Due to Engineering Department

I'm moving into a brand new building - Verizon did not have the correct unit numbers so I called to set up an installation. Because they did not have the correct unit numbers, they had to push this over to engineering and its  30 day mandatory wait before someone can come over and install it. However, the developer has stated that all units are FIOS ready and I legit can't wait a whole month to not have internet. Is there anyway to contact engineering and instead of waiting/or talking to a customer rep who doesn't know. I'm checking the unit tomorrow if they have the proper cables ONT, Ethernet, etc so might just ask to see if I can do a self-installation but not sure how this will link up in their system if they do not have the correct unit numbers. (there system shows 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d - in reality its 401, 402,403, 404)
