I am EXTREMELY upset with Verizon. Once I logged in to my account, I was presented with a screen (named, funnily enough,"My Verizon|Login|Upsell") stating:
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SPECIAL BUNDLE PACKAGES THAT COULD SAVE YOU MONEY
Since my two year price guarantee is about up, I clicked LEARN MORE
On the next page, I was presented with an offer:
Fios Double Play
Fios TV Ultimate HD
Fios Internet 35/35
Online price $5/month off
HBO and Cinemax for 50% off for 12 months
Activation fee waived online
Price for one year, plus taxes and fees, no annual contract required
.Price: 104.99/month
Upon clicking ORDER NOW and going through the order process, I was presented with different information. Now, the bundle was 124.99/month, and if I added HBO and Cinemax, there was not 50% discount.
This offer was presented to me AFTER LOGGING IN, and the offer page HAD MY LOCATION. Verizon knew to whom and to where they were presenting this offer. Upon attempting to accept this offer, Verizon changed the terms which would end up costing me, a loyal Fios customer since it was available at my address and wireless customer for over a decade, approximately $400 more per year to receive the same channels and discounts promised.
Live chat didn't care. I could only get the offers provided at the link HE gave me, regardless of what offers were presented to me after signing into my account. First, I was told the offer I was given wasn't valid in my location. Then, it wasn't offered to existing customers. Why then was the offer for 104.99 presented to me on a page with my address and welcome message after logging in?
If I'm going to pay someone that much for TV and Internet, I'll send it to Time Warner instead. While they were expensive, they never lied to my face as many times as Verizon has.
Shame on Verizon
I’m sorry for any confusion with current pricing and packaging for our bundles. We would like to make sure we provide accurate information to you. I’m sending you a message directly so that we can get your contact and account information. Thank you ^MRM
Just Happened to me today!
In the end, they did not honor the terms that's sent to me via mail. I asked the rep to remove me from their mailing list.
Following is part of my chat log:
I could be mistaken, but I'm almost certain that those rates are for new customers only.......which of course would make one wonder why the offer was shown after logging into an account that already exsists.
As far as I know only the rates/offers in the upgrade center are available to current customers.
