Cannot change forum email notification address

I would like to change the email address used for notifications from the forums  Theaddress is in My Settings and the change and new email address verification appears to work fine until you sign out or close the session.  Next time I sign in the emaill address is back to the old address

Anybody have any idea how to get this fixed?
