Hi
I am a veteran and recently signed up for Fios Gig internet. I signed up online via chat and explicitly told them I was signing up with the veteran's discount. They told me no problem but they needed to set up the service first and I could chat back at that time to apply the discount. Well, I came back after my internet was up and the chat people said I had to call because chat is only for sales. So I called and was then emailed a link to use to sign up. When I use the link and click through I get the message that I need to call the Verizon Local Business Office at 1-800-VERIZON. However, when I call they tell me the only way to apply for the discount is online. I have tried different devices and browsers but I keep getting the same message to call. Does anyone actually know how to get the veteran's discount applied? I feel like this is a bait and switch because I signed up based on the advertised veteran's rate but now there is no way for me to get the rate and I am being charged full price and wasting a bunch of time jumping through hoops.
Thanks
