Hello,
I'm wondering why Verizon is charging $ 5 / month for a CableCard. My previous provider charged $ 2 / month.
I checked with FCC and their suggested price is between $ 2 to $ 4:

'Verizon is 25% over the high limit. Should I open a complain with the FCC?

Depending on your previous provider, they may have a larger quantity of users than verizon so they can charge less.
Or they may have had the the old cards that required 2 for a device inptead of 1.
Or verizon just wants to charge more.
And you said fcc said it was suggested price. Not sure if they can do anything about pricing.

The previous cablee provider is regional, so it's much smaller than Verizon. and the card is the exact same M-card VZ rents for 2.5x the price. Same cards that can be had on eBay at about $ 5.
