I've trying to speak to billing about my final bill. Over the past month, I spoke to three customer service agents, four on chat, and I tried calling yesterday. I was on hold for one hour. Today I was on hold for an hour and a half between 10:30 & 12:00 PM. I called back this afternoon and have been on hold for an hour and 45 minutes thus far.
This company is atrocious.
This is by design. In NY the legislators are considering a law to cancel service on line or by self cancellation. Hope it passes. In the final bill situation you can logon into your customer portal I believe up to 90 days and pay it that way.

In general Verizon customer service is horrible if you run into trouble, but completely smooth if you sign into a new deal. Just like you can buy anything you like, but returning is **bleep**. I had bad experience with customer service before. These days, they mostly outsource to different places to cut cost.
So if calling customer service, be prepared to deal with frustration.
