False advertising

We had a door salesman sell us on service that was not honored. We were told we'd have the capability of dvr'ing 4 shows and that we'd have hbo and show time. This was enough for us to switch from comcast to fios due the services offered and the monthly savings. We now have fios and don't have hbo or show time and are limited to 2 shows recording on dvr. It took some time to realize the limitations, I can't even pause live tv which I was told I would be able to do. Turns out I can upgrade to a service which provides this but Verizon wants more money. I feel taken advantage of and stuck. I am now bound by a 2 yr contract that they say I need to buy out to switch back to my previous cable provider, a cost of $230. Their salesmen sell false packages and now I'm the one that has to pay to correct it, it's just not right! IM STUCK!!!!

Hi Charlie2210,

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
