How to read Verizon private messages

Yesterday I posted message about Spamdetector not functioning. In response, I got and e-mail saying that I received a private message and "Private messages are located at the envelope icon on the upper right-hand side of the community." I see no envelope icon. What can I do to find my private message?

We have verified that your private message icon is present and visible.

 . It is a small gold envelope on the upper right of the screen.

Your cute icon is unreliable. Got an email regarding censoring of an image, and stepped thru at least a dozen pages until it showed up. Pathetic.

Perhaps it varies in various areas of the counry.  Works fine in Florida.

Look for the messages icon that should be on the page toward the upper right. Look like an envelope.  Will bel gold color if unopend items.

Will send you this message just ot make it show up,
