IPv6 Firewall on FiOS Router Allowing ALL Inbound Connections

Any idea why the question, "IPv6 firewall on FiOS router is allowing inbound connections", on the Community site was locked without an answer to the question, when the last post is dated 4/26/2023? Has Verizon fixed the issue on the G3100 router or do I need to get my own firewall to put in front of the FiOS router? If I have to get my own firewall, will Verizon throttle my speeds at that point, since the G3100 won't be the 1st device on my network?
