Apparently, it's impossible for me to upgrade just my internet service without upgrading my phone service as well? I've been paying $19.99 for just 768down/128 upload for years now and still I'm not "allowed" to upgrade my internet service. I'm just wondering if this is true. I've been at Verizon for years now, but I swear each day I inch closer to Optimum...
ask them why you cant upgrade
It may possible that a faster speed of internet is not yet available in your central office.
which is why you only get 768k.

you can always upgrade without encurring any add'l charges so im not sure what other reasons would prompt a "not allowed" other than that.
