I subscribed to FIOS after moving into my new home. The home was already wired for FIOS from the previous owner, so the lady on the phone ensured me that there would be no activation fees. Low and behold, a $69.99 Internet Activation Fee arrived on my bill. I called 1-800-VERIZON and after about 20 minutes of punching in numbers to the automated system thingy and being sent to wrong menus and whatnot, I finally got to talk to a real person. He said the fee was for them to send a signal to my house and then proceeded to try and talk me into a bunch of unnecessary upgrades. I've been a Verizon customer for well over 10 years now, their customer service seems to be going downhill... Anybody else on here receive the activation fee after they were told they would not?
