Internet service issues and unable to get help. Home phone and business line discontinued

After terrible terrible internet service and no one being able to help me, I had decided to cancel my service and go with another provider. On January 13 my home phone line and business line was shut down, even though it was not ported to the new company until January 16th. On January 16th, I call once my new service was up and running to cancel my fios phone, internet and tv. I was told I was canceled. We brought the  DVR's, remotes and Router back to a verizon store and was told our account was STILL active. I have been on hold for a hour and no one picking up. I WANT to cancel my service this is a joke. I now remember why I canceled this service 7 years ago. I remember spending over a months and countless hours trying to cancel and get false charges off my account removed. This is rediculous and would like someone to contact me and cancel my serivce that I have not used for 2 weeks!!!

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and scroll down the page to an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name located above your post, or at the top right of this page.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, you may subscribe to the case. At the top right of your support case there is a gear icon which provides a drop down menu with support case options. Click that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
