Issue redeeming Gift Card

When I try to register for the $200 e-gift card from verizon (at https://rewards.verizon.com/home/) I get the following message:
"Our apologies. Due to a system issue, your registration was not successful. Please try again later."
I see there are other forum posts with the same issue.
I have tried from multiple browsers, as well as from the mobile app. Has anyone found a solution to this?
