You guys are the last CDMA network in the US which still supports 2G/3G. It doesn't make sense for you guys to block older activations. This block happened back in 2019 because 3G was supposed to shut down at that time. When the date moved, how come the block was still there? Even now, 1x might be staying for a long time so even if 3G shuts down, 1x is still there for older phones; but blocking activations means many phones will be useless. Also, it would actually make sense to shut down LTE instead of 3G. So that means older phones can be re-activated and usable for we browsing. Many machines (not just phones) that rely on 3G can be still active too. They can rename 3G as 4G/LTE for LTE devices. Since LTE will be gone, it's basically 3G with LTE speeds since LTE is no longer taking room. But many important and non-upgradable things can work just fine as well (now faster with LTE-like speed). AND keeping 3G and letting us activate it means MILLIONS of phones can be reactivated again and usable and with an LTE-like browser. Verizon if you won't shut down LTE and shut down 3G, please at least keep 1x and let us reactivate 1x phones.
