I live in Northport, NY and I am building a garage in my front yard that will require the replacement of the underground electrical wire from the utility pole to the house. The pole is owned by Verizon. The pole has a metal reinforcer at the base that the electrician said indicates that the pole is scheduled to be replaced. The locale electrical utility (PSEG - LI) said that I need to get Verizon to come out and inspect the pole and give permission to replace the service line going up the pole in order for the electric utility to reconnect the service with the new line. Anyone know who to contact at Verizon to get the pole inspected. Thanks
