Please Help - Last Ditch Effort

A technician replaced my FIOS ONT with a new one and now it has been 3 days with no service.  They can't get my house back on the grid due to something called a pond card at the switching office. No updates, no details on when my service will be back.  3 days already.  I am about to call Cablevision to get my triple play back.  Someone at Verizon on Long Island please help...  Why can't they at least give me my old copper phone line back for now.  Anyone have any ideas as to what I should do next?
