I just signed up for Fios after a representative showed up at my house. She told me that I would get a 15% discount for being an AAA or AARP member and to call customer relations to apply these discounts. Apparently, these discounts do not exist and the customer representtive on the phone was no help. He gave me a web site that was basically useless and made no mention of these discounts-which would have made my bill comparable to what I was paying with Optimum. So after 1 day with Fios, I have no discount, poor customer service, was lied to by the representative at my home and my TV screen keeps freezing. I am very temted to just cancel Fios even paying a cancellation fee and going back to Optimum. It's all been very frustrating, to say the least.
This issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent.
