Today I had a tech out to help me with Fios TV which had 5 missing channels for months. I agreed over chat to have the tech out with the understanding that no repairs would be made unless I was told in advance what the fee would be--and that if it was outside the house there would be no charge (inside the house would be covered by inside wire maintenance). He came, he replaced a length of cable on the outside of the house, total visit being 15 minutes max.
By email--not by the tech--I'm told I'm being charged $60 for the work and $99 for the visit.
This is ridiculous. I have recently been considering "cutting the cord" and this is just the type of business practice that will push me over the edge.
