Transtion wire failed on my car while driving with children

Does anyone know who do i contact when the Verizon wire fail and damage your car? On June 28, 2024 ,I was driving my children to a doctor appointment and this thing failed and swipe my side mirror off. It’s also scratched the passenger window and the bar below it.

I got a police report. The kids and I are still shook up from the incident as it was very loud when the object hit our car. We all still have a nightmare about it . 
And, now I am having a hard time getting my children in a car and having to avoid driving on that road as the kids and I are traumatized and don’t want to be on the same  road. This is on pine road, Briarcliff Manor, NY
