Verizon utility pole Falling apart

I have an ancient Verizon utility pole in my back yard that is splintering in huge chunks. A Verizon tech checked it out a few weeks ago and confirmed that it needs to be replaced but through a different Verizon department. That was 5 weeks ago and I haven’t heard from anyone. Then, Hurricane Isaia hit and the pole is in even worse shape now. If the pole is to topple over, it’ll either damage my car, deck, and house OR my neighbors’ (or hurt someone, obviously). I was given the run around by another Verizon rep that poles are installed by the city. I contacted the city and Con Edison and found out that Verizon is responsible for repair, maintenance and installation.  What can I do to get someone to come resolve this? It’s a safety hazard.
