scam using verizon name

I just received the following scam (in case it has not been reported yet)

Hello Dear!

  Your current bill for your account  is now available online in My Verizon 

  Total Balance Due: $1007.30
 
  Keep in mind that payments and/or adjustments made to your account after your bill was generated will not be reflected in    the amount shown above.

  View all your recent bills in application materials.

  Thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless.

Yep, that definitely sounds like a scam.  I have never received one of those personally but it's good thing you caught that before becoming a victim.  You should call Verizon Wireless to report that.
