I used MSN Premium back when Verizon supplied it free but now I'm stuck adapting to Verizon's layout and ways of doing things.
Two quick questions....first at the top of my email it says---> "Welcome {edited for privacy}" ...uh, well, that's not me. Its freakin' my geebers, making me think my emails are hacked or some such. But maybe its something embarrassingly obvious? ...."Resolve protocal or some tech goofiness? Dunno.....
The other thing is the spam filter. It doesn't work....at all. I have it on but every day I get the same spam over and over again. I flag spam every day and I've tried tweeking settings but its just not filtering. The answer I'm expecting to get is "Spammers change emails" but plenty of it is the same spam from the same Email address every day. I know because I've tagged a few who have gotten too pesky like Walmart. Walmart doesn't change email addresses.
So, anyone know what's up? Much obliged 🙂

The res... id is your vzid. Verizon assigns one to every account when it is created. Nothing to worry about. 😉
I don't get any spam on my Verizon address, but that's beacuse I don't use it to sign up for sites with questionable privacy policies. You can try adding addresses/domains to your blocked senders list and setting up filters for common themes.

Thanks somegirl. Your email practices and self-disciplines are very admirable. But I was wondering if anyone knew why the spam filter doesn't work.

...That would be because it's not a very good filter. Sad, but true. That's why I recommend using the email filters in your account and your blocked senders list. Those work perfectly.
You can always forward spam to spamdetector.notcaught@verizon.net to "help improve" the filtering, but no one but the people checking that address know how much good that will do.
